How can I help?
The war in Ukraine has led to an ongoing exodus of Ukrainian citizens. Many had to flee their home country without any notice and are still in the Ukraine’s neighbouring states. Due to the limited capacity of the neighbouring states and the ongoing war, international organisations therefore predict that there will be many more refugees fleeing their country in the coming weeks and months with many also fleeing to Germany. The Free State of Saxony is currently in the process of implementing the necessary measures. Many citizens also want to help and are volunteering to assist the arrivals.
Offer to help at local municipalities
Aid can be provided directly to the main municipalities in charge, where foreigners’ offices/Ukraine aid centres pool the offerings and direct them to local supporters on the ground and to those seeking help. Their contact details, as well as further aid information from some of the municipalities, can be found in the drop-down menus below.
